I love conference Tourney's more than the Big Dance...I do very well in the conf tourney and then make some poor moves in the big dance. I can't wait for the MAC and Big Ten tourney...i cap the MAC heavily and know every team very well. Today I have a MVC game.
DRAKE +1
I absolutely love this spot. They were severely embarrassed in their last game consequently it was against their opponent today, Bradley. Bradley came out firing on all cylinders at home, on senior night. They shot a whopping 60 some percent and had players doubling their points/game. I think they were high on emotion and eventually Drake just let them have it. If you take a look at the first matchup i think the picture is a bit more clear and realistic as far as what to expect for todays game. Drake will get to the free throw line more (hopefully they can make some...they have struggled mightly in some games), they should out-rebound Bradley too. If both teams play evenly (ish) then Drake should win by 6-7. All they need to do is keep it in control early on and i think their confidence will take them the rest of the way. Drake has bigger and more athletic players, and although rarely rely on the "revenge" factor i think that it does play a roll in todays game. Drake has faired better in the conference and I think that means a lot in these tourneys. It might sound simplistic, and it is, but the teams that win more conference games by at least 3 or 4 wins carries over and makes me lay some fine chalk on them. They get through this game, and i think they prolly have a shot to win next round too.
