I don't care what anybody says, college ball is all about coaches.  Who you guys like?  I'll post some of my favorites......


Bo Ryan
Tom Izzo
Tony Bennett
Jay Wright
Shaka Smart
Fran Dunphy
Billy Donovan


Coaches I can't stand........


Roy Williams
Coach K
Rick Barnes
Jim Boeheim
Tom Crean
Calipari

Just for the record, I'm a Syracuse homer cuz I grew up there.  I think they develop big men better than most.  I just don't care for Boeheim as an in game coach.  I'm a UNC fan, cuz a dude from my hometown played for Dean Smith back in the 80's.  Williams never calls the momentum changing timeout.  He prefers to let the kids figure it out.  Never understood that logic.  Calipari is slimy, but I think he's done a good job with the last two teams.  Sure, anyone can say it's easy to win with the best talent.  But it ain't that easy.  He's got the blue chippers playing defense, and playing as a team.  Easier said than done.

There is nothing like a college coach.  Have so much respect for all of them.  Who you guys like, or dislike?

Love Izzo in March.   I l also like guys like Smart and Ryan who get the most out of their players.

Bruce Pearl and Rick Pitino are my least favorite. They reek (sp?) of scum, not just based on the things we hear about them doing outside of basketball but also the things way you see them act on the court.

 

Favs are tough but the list you have their is hard to argue with

Add Larry Brown, Jay Wright, and Mark Few to the like list. Pearl, Tubby, and Barnes my least favorite.

I am very partial to Bennett, K and Smart.

Then again, I am an ACC fan first and spent some time in VA. I could be a homer!

growing up in MN ,but being a huge fan of Carolina since the days of James Worthy and them beating Gtown,,It is Dean Smith for me

Today,even though I really don't like pulling for another big 10 team besides my Gophers,Tom Izzo is one that can always get the job done

imo 2 best in college are petino and izzo hands down!

Brey: his teams max out almost every year. Probably why they struggle in the post-season. They don't have that extra gear.
Bennett: love how his teams play defense. Now he has enough offensive talent to win it all.
Wright: class act and well respected by his peers.

Everyone always forgets about John Beilein. Wins everywhere he goes.

Down this year but this team has been decimated with injuries and the play of numerous walk-ons.

Bo Ryan tops my list b/cz he gets the most out of his recruits and more importantly, the man looks like a BADGER.

ALMOST HARD TO BE THE BEST COACH SEEMS TO ME THESE DAYS IT'S ABOUT WHO IS THE BEST RECRUITIER WITH ALL THE ONE AND DONES SO HEY!!!!!!!!!! at MEMPHIS/NOW KENTUCKY COACH CAL BEST ONE AND DONE COACH/RECRUITIER IN THE LAND

Izzo and Buzz Williams, love how buzz loses his voice every game by halftime but also a damn good coach!
