Besides a couple bets on my boys, I've kept off the college basketball investment front until now.
Oregon State (-2.5) = 3U Folks, I know my boys got off to a horrendous start to the season after one of the most uplifting seasons we've seen in years under first year head coach, Craig Robinson. Tonight we're road chalk at Ill-Chi. Scary to think we're favored on the road, I know. HOWEVER, since the embarassing 1st half debacle at home to Sac St, I think the ship is beginning to be pulled back together again. We won three straight games, yes over questionable competition, but nonetheless wins. Then we dropped a close defensive war to Nebraska. Tonight we're in Obamaville playing a team that is as far from 'good' as we are from winning the NCAA tournament. This is not a tall order for the boys in orange tonight to win by a bucket.
The Flames may suspend their monstrous center, Rivers, after an apparent scuffle in last game that got him ejected. The Beavs are still without the use of two of our top 3 recruits, but we haven't had the services of them all season.
I expect to see Roland 'on the river' Schaftenaar (6'11" point center) to continue on his track to break out of his early season slump and play a solid game for us tonight. Same goes for Calvin Haynes. I haven't watched Ill-Chi yet this season but on paper they just don't strike fear in me.

Oreg St not hitting the over vs NEB saturday nite cost me a 5 team parlay and large 2nd half over bet...watched them play vs Colorado and looked like they had some offensive capability....i played OSU here mainly on a fade of ILL-CHI...
