22-21-2 YTD. My 6-0 run snapped yesterday; now 6-1 in last 7.

Today:

West Virginia -2

Per KenPom, WV has the #1 Home Court Advantage in D1, season to date (a fact that may surprise many). BYU offense is #17 in Nation in Adj Efficiency and WV is #17 in Nation in Defensive Efficiency. BYU a great shooting team and WV is elite in defending the 3, opponents shooting 28.8% against them. The metrics are very close here with some leans towards WV on D. BYU has struggled when traveling east this year, including a 18 point loss to Cincy Saturday. With WV’s elite Home Court Advantage and their defensive matchup here, I will back WV in this one.

Arizona -3

 

 

Kansas State is 8-0 ATS in their last 8. Arizona is 6-0 ATS in their last 6. Something has to give here. Arizona Offensive Efficiency is 14th in Nation and Defensive Efficiency is 18th. K ST is 64 and 66 in those metrics. Still, looking for more to confirm my instinct to play zona here. Arizona is 21st in nation in Offensive rebounding. Kansas State is 271st in rebounding. Arizona is 35th in FT % and K ST is 272.  Free Throws and Rebounding - keys to success to win any game, but especially against a top team. Arizona’s significant edge points me to an Arizona cover tonight.
