Think hurley has to prove he can have his team playing something close to resembling team ball, at least enough to beat a team with the experience playing together that clara has.  I think Dan Hurley would win the 'ship with the talent bobby assembled on this roster.  But a 9 year sample size at asu in addition to the 60 pt L duke scrimmage debacle and the ugly idaho state game so far this year, say Bobby's talented team with play like an aau team and big improvement will not be quick.  we'll see if the talent can overcome the coaching this early.  2 days from now they go play the ultimate team ball team , at gonzaga, so...hard to see hurley escaping this week avoiding embarrassment but we'll see.  Bobby is like JAckson mahomes at this point

For pacific, their new coach Dave Smart I am pretty confident is going to be really good, dude had a 591-48 record in canada lol apparantly multiple wins over the years against D1 teams in exhibitions.  Plays unique "Weak hand" defense.  Pretty interesting reading about him, I can't find the article I read this summer that kind of had me hyped to back them and feeling theyt will ambush some teams this year.  Anyway, not expecting world beaters, but they're prob better than their early ranking, and they're facing a sj st team that looked super lame in their opener, really look to be lacking scoring punch, so with the thoguht that Pacific is probably sneaky formidable, tim miles blah squad shall be faded here.
