8-5 yesterday. Finally back to over .500, now to chase down the juice.
Northern Kentucky +1.5
The Norse are in a desperate spot to stop a 4 game skid, and the get up spot on a Friday night in Highland Heights is just what the doctor ordered. They've had nearly a week off to prepare, and Milwaukee just had a big win @ Wright St, and has IU-Fort Wayne next in a battle for 2nd place in the league. I like the Norse to win straight up.
Villanova +9.5
Shaka got me last time I bet against him as a double digit fav, but I don't think he can do it again. Marquette owns Nova in this series as of late, winners of 7 straight. But Nova has been competitive, covering this number in all but 2 of those 7. Eric Dixson is a one man wrecking crew, and a matchup problem. Nova hits enough 3s to keep this in the single digits.
St. Josephs +5.5
Dayton has been a completely different team since the New Year, dropping three straight, one being George Mason @ home. Snuck one out at home vs Loyola and then beat a bad Duquesne team. St Joe wants to chuck up as many threes as they can, and Dayton has the worst 3ptFG% defense in the A10. The Flyers are always a threat to win by 20 at home, but I like my odds of a 3pt shooting team keeping this one close.
Michigan/Purdue Over 151
Michigan hasn't scored under 80 points since December 3rd, and while Purdues offense hasn't had that kind of output, they are still the 11th most efficient offense in the country. Purdue should get their fair share of easy ones off Michigan turnovers, and Michigan should attack with their bigs in the halfcourt. Should be a great, up and down game.
Iowa -3.5
If there was ever a time for a get right spot, it's now for the Hawkeyes. They are losers of 3 straight, with the last one an embarrassing home loss to Minnesota. Desperate spot for a well coached team, on a Friday night in Carver-Hawkeye. Sounds like a blow out incoming.
UCLA -5
I think the Bruins got the message that Cronin sent after their ugly trip east, but he's right, the travel for the west coast teams is 10x worse than for the east coast teams. Anyway, it seems his guys have really amped up their play since his tirade, and this is a normal travel spot for them, so I have no concerns there. Washington is 1-7 in conference, and just not very good, despite their generous NIL offerings.
GL everyone.
