West Lafayette, Indiana that is. 14-14 Purdue with 4 straight losses, is a 6 pt chalk vs 18-9 Indiana, winners of 3 of 4 and their last 2 ( Penn St and Minny). Hmm... . Ok, well Purdue is in that corner, it's certainly a must win for them but you could say that about a lot of teams at this time of year. So why favored by 6? Purdue does play good defense, only 62 pts ppg, opponents fg % of only 41% and only 30% from 3 pt land. Those are all some of the better defensive numbers in the country. Indiana on the road - when the Hoosiers lose OTR, they lose big, 6 conference road losses by 93 pts, 15.5 per game, the closest loss by 9. Matt Painter and Purdue head to head against their in state rival - the Boilermakers have owned the Hoosiers. 6 straight wins, 9 of the last 10, 7-2-1 ATS, including not 3 weeks ago in Bloomington by 12 as a 4 pt. dog. Some teams just have the other guys number, i.e. Cincinatti owns Wichita St, and there are others too. After a couple nice wins with underdogs, Wake +11, VATECH +3.5, I'm gonna' hold my nose with the favored Boilermakers and hope history repeats itself just like the boyz' in Vegas think too.
PURDUE -6
AS ALWAYS GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

Big game @ home with ASU. Both teams are playing well with ASU coming in with a 7 game winning streak, the Bruins 5 in a row and 7 of their last 8. That one loss? In Tempe, an 18 pt rout where ASU hit 14 of 24 three pointers and UCLA played without leading rebounder Jalen Hill (back now). The Bruins are playing lockdown defense surrendering only 62 ppg the last 5 which includes impressive road wins @ Utah and Colorado. Mick Cronin has turned a corner with this team and has them playing with the tenacity of his former Cincinnati Bearcats teams. I always like teams destroyed OTR coming back home for the rematch especially when it's a team who has clearly found themselves. I'll lay the small number for the homeboyz'-

Thx for checking in Mac, warrenator, under and OWO. BTW wiseone I did mention that Purdue won there by 12 as a 4 pt dog. GL in your plays, stay hot Mac!
I don't post that often outside of the NFL, thats my bread and butter, but it's in February I start hitting college hoops harder. Spent a few years growing up in NC where college hoops and Nascar rule. Luv me sum college hoops, and playing too!

Onto UCLA which could be the game of the night. I took UCLA but come tourney time Bobby Hurley's boyz are going to be dangerous and I expect at the least ASU will be a sweet 16 team. But tonight, go Bruins

Anyone who has read my NFL write-ups knows I'm all about numbers and trends and Purdue's win was the epitome of that as Indiana shot only 25 percent and was held to 49 points as the trend of Purdue dominance over INDIANA continues. Let's hope we can remember that next year

Softball got you on the FR. Read sum of your responses in different threads, you're a gracious, well spoken individual, need more people like you in this forum. FYI, I'm considering making a softball comeback after 2 torn rotator cuffs and a bone spur in my throwing shoulder. Played baseball all the way thru high school and American legion and started playing softball in the military after that, shortstop all my life, big arm before injuries, not so sure anymore, not getting any younger. Gonna practice with sum friends Sunday, see if I can throw well enuff to maybe play 2nd base. Could always field, hit, and run, comes down to the arm. Wish me luck!
