SU winners: 9 OT record: 1-0 Record on the open: 12-10
Notes: -Great win for my 'Horns, was surprised to see it but the young'ns started well and held off a comeback. The offense looks better than expected when it runs through Ridley, but the Felix passes to McClellan/Lewis off screens for shots are gross and we ran that for what felt like 20 consecutive possessions -UMass fell behind early when Ohio couldn't miss, but they got a huge performance out of Jesse Morgan dropping 35 and he really both brought them back into the game and won it for them -Not sure what happened to the Jackrabbits, but I got a great number on them and they were tied with Belmont at 37 with just over 12 minutes left before getting outscored 39-12 the rest of the way
Guesses: USC 6 La Salle 2
leans:
on the radar:
Locked in:
California-Irvine +8 (-110) @ USC
-Think it'll be tough
for irvine to rebound with USC, especially if they're going to play the
two 7-footers at once, but that will also make it easy for UIC to run
the floor. Think they can score plenty while the Trojans haven't proven
that in years.
Iona +6 (-110) @ La Salle
-Gaels will
force people to play their game unlike almost any team. La Salle is
equipped to do it with their guard-heavy lineup, but I think this will
be a good game and the Gaels have been playing well recently.

Ionas 3rd game this week..love me some momo but lasalle and their solid guard play will handle this pressure... the gaels press getting beat and turning into alot of open 3s for galloway and lasalle will be the difference.

One of those games being an overtime as well, but I think La Salle will be foolish to play at Iona's speed and if they do I like my chances even more than a half-court game.
In Momo I trust, I also like that they're getting a transfer tonight to help with that fatigue issue. Good luck to you

Not knocking your pick, but can you please explain the definition of Iona playing well lately? They lost as a 9 point fav to St Peters, Lost by 8 to Rutgers, beat a very weak georgia team by two ( Mind you Georgia missed 17 free throws) Then they just beat a 1-10 high school team. Just trying to understand how this translates to playing well?

pretty nice job, though Iona had it going early and then closed the 1H terribly before the guy they dared to shoot threes hit 3 in a row. Don't think La Salle broke the press very well at all, Iona wasn't careful with the ball at all.
Nice win, hope you played it

a team like iona playing that kinda pressure when tired will give good looks and ez buckets often...no mistake that the explorers shot 50% from the field
