I wonder if there are any ideas for a hedging strategy for the Final Four:
Situation:
$30 future placed on 3/27 on NCSt to win the tourney at +12000 (payout=$3630)
I understand I can hedge the final game if NCSt does upset Purdue. My question is; is there any strategy to address the final four game against Perdue under these circumstances. The money line (Purdue -425) is a huge problem that would definitely erase future profits should NCSt run the table (unlikely I believe).
Anyone faced a similar situation and have some productive thoughts?
I thank you in advance for your wisdom.

Absolutely . A couple things you can do. All have some risks. Take Purdue m.l. for first half on an open par with 1 other open spot. About $150 max. Can get it at probably-300 ish. If you lose then your winning at halftime. And you can do the same thing at halftime. If you lose both u won the game. Lost $300 but u made it to the finals. My advice is take something tomorrow like atl braves with Purdue m.l. first half tomorrow. $150 probably pays $100 and covers your $30 bet nicely. I do this all the time... Sometimes you win both. Just like last game with Duke up At half. Besides that there is not much you can do. Open pars or a par tomorrow with Purdue m.l. first half works for me

I will even give you the baseball play today take the Miami Marlins $100 par with Purdue m.l. 1st half it will pay over $100 when u win. Thanks me later.

Sorry, maybe hedge was not the correct term. I am not concerned about the $30. I am seeking a strategy to extract half or less of the $3630. Starting with the Perdue match-up.

Thanks, I will use his idea to cover the original wager. I appreciate the pick (not proficient in bases just yet) and will pair it with Purdue ML 1st half.

see if you can sell your ticket to prop shop or a company like that, They may offer you $500-$750 for your ticket. You don't get the opportunity to win your bet but walking away with anything is a plus in my mind.
I also like, $30 let it ride
