Oregon State: Sag rank 113, Kenpom rank 123. SOS: 14 (249 non-conf) Oregon State had a little mini-run of legitimacy when they beat Stanford and Cal twice and Oregon in a month. I watched quite a few P10 games this year. Including where OR ST showed its true colors in blowing a big lead to Oregon. After such a horrific recent past, they may be excited to be playing in any postseason. Houston: Sag rank 79, Kenpom 64. SOS 118 (228) Houston maybe blew a chance to go to the NCAA by blowing that lead at Arizona so stupidly. They did beat some quality teams: UAB, W Kent, UTEP twice but obviously have a weaker schedule.

When matching these teams up, it is hard to look at raw numbers as they play so different a style, with Oregon State one of the slowest(under 60 possessions p/game) while Houston play quite up tempo (close to 70 possessions). Oregon State is just above average on both sides. The only thing they seem to do well is shoot the ball, especially 2pt fg’s, while they score an unusually high percentage of their pts from 3pointers. Unfortunately for them, this plays right into Houston’s strength as a defense, defending field goals and 3pt shots. Houston further looks to have the edge in rebounding and turnovers as Houston is the BEST team in the country at protecting the ball, only 13.7% turnovers. Houston tends to get to the line to score its pts, and Oregon State actually does a good job of preventing this. Since Houston wins the turnover battle, BIG, and edged OR St in rebounds, while defending what OR ST does best on offense, it seems I will be laying the pt and play Houston on the road. Also, as both team do a good job defending the other’s offensive strength, would have to take a look into under 131. I won’t play this til I watch the money and hear from the Covers crew. Any input would be greatly appreciated (especially about Houston’s state of mind).

All I know is there was some guy with a boat, who said Houston was his "lock of the century". 2 average at best teams, I gotta go with the home team. OSU for me. BOL with whatever you decide.
