If you are betting 500-1500 per game. Multiple games per day and your roll is 4K, you will go broke on the weekly.
You clearly have no money management responsibility whatsoever. You don't need a gun. You need an accountant to manage your bankroll and limit how much you bet on a game.
Sad deal but it's entirely your fault.

Been betting on sports about 40 years the one thing I can tell you is your first instinct is your best play
If you do bet that way you will read or hear something and start to change your mind or bet a lot less than originally planned
When I lived in Pittsburgh used my bookie and it was like using a credit card, you bet too much or too many games as no cash was being handled. You know your gonna win if not why bet
Then Tuesday morning comes wow I owe that much
We used to call it the Tuesday morning sweats
Live in Vegas now and it's all cash ?? you really need to like a side when your at the window, you may never see that cash again
The problem here is there are so many radio shows on that cater to sports betting, I'm a $110 a game amateur, that you tend to have a different opinion on your game when listening to these guys who get paid to give out picks
There are times I'd change my play based on the info I heard and lost
Sorry for the long story
Jest of this post
Bet early using your gut instinct you maybe in able to hedge later if some injury news or suspensions are announced

Lost $17K in 2.5 weeks after I built it up over a 6 week span. Started with $10 bets then got it up and got cocky taking $1000 reverses SERVES ME RIGHT. I'll learn from it because it hurt so much.

Like others have said, it's all about money management. As gamblers this is a tough thing to conquer because we want to win big now and not over an extended period of time. If you only bet 1-2% of your bankroll on each event, then you won't ever experience the crazy up and down swings. It's obviously more fun to bet bigger since you can potentially win more, but you can lose a lot more also. You don't have to bet on a game just because there is a line on it. Stick with what you feel confident with and realize there is always (hypothetically speaking) another day. Get off the roller coaster and stick to smaller bets and you will enjoy it much more then trying to win all the money in one day. BOL to you and everyone else
