Why bet 50/50 coin flip games ? Card has better games that have more of an edge than this one ....

Nothing stuck out to me at first look in all the games which means I have to go deep into it which will take hours

But I disagree that Illinois is better than Purdue.  Illinois has one player that frightens opponents, and with Edey and Williams, Purdue isn't scared.  They have length on the perimeter to keep the 3 point shooters at bay.  Curbelo thinks he's a lot better than he really is, which is detrimental to the Illini.  His late game decision making is questionable at best. Not to mention winning a road conference game is hard enough, but going into West Lafayette and winning is even harder, especially given the talent they have.

       Bingo, my BIL and I have said this all season.  

Same thing will happen in game 1.  Edey and williams get kofi into foul trouble.  The only difference is purdue will pull away with the crowd buzzzzinnnnn

Coming into the season, Curbelo was slated as a top 30 type player nationally.  I think back to Cincinnati and Marquette earlier this season that really shows his woes on the court.  Where we have him now, coming off the bench and playing a controlled 15-20 minutes is great.  Underwood also has his leash shorter, as I think the time playing without him really opened a lot of people's eyes to the depth of this team.  

Kofi sat a lot during the game in Champaign with foul trouble.  Stefanovic had the shooting game of his life in regulation.  Kofi differed a concussion towards the end of regulation and played with not knowing where he was.  Do I think Purdue is better?  Yes.  Did I pick them preseason to win the B1G and advance to the Final Four?  Yes.  Do I think Illinois has the juice to stay with them and knock them off at Mackey?  Also yes.  

Major part in tonight's game will be Demonte Williams on the defensive end.  He is undersized but plays like a bulldog.  If he can neutralize Ivey and make entry passes tough to the bigs, Illinois has a great chance.

 Mackey is on the list of must visit venues.  Been to Dean Dome, Phog Allen, Cameron Indoor, and Assembly Hall.  Which others am I missing?  Don't really care to go to Carrier Dome.

 Not necessarily a destination as far as the overall product, but I've always heard The Pit in NM was a great scene.  The few years that they were getting some national recognition, they always talked about the atmosphere.

 I actually have heard that as well.  If I made that trip, I would try and catch a game at Grand Canyon too cuz they get WILD. St. Marys when the Zags are in town looks like a fun place to catch a game too.  Of the places I've been, its the smaller venues that are the most fun.

Sorry...I havnt looked at this line since first post ....I see its getting steamed ....strong line for Purdue whether thats public or not....interesting the ML for Purdue is as low as it is for that spread

Clearly a shitty second half for Illini backers and fans.  But, bumping the thread to report that Mackey lived up to the hype. That place was rocking. Fun environment and super convenient parking, I might add.
