WVU has a losing record ats at home, so I would say they've been overvalued there. (on ISU). However, maybe their senior night amps them up in a special way and they bounce back after their last loss.

What exactly is the trap? WVU either covers or they don't. KenPom has WV winning by 8 so 8 points is exactly what the spread should be, going off of that. BOL on your play.

A "trap" game is a word that gamblers made up to "cover-up" a game in which they lost. Just another reason to blame something else for their loss. There is NO SUCH thing as a "trap" game. Never has been, nor never will be

What about the games that Vegas takes a stance on? When their spread deviates from the Kenpom number and basically all of the action (80%) comes on the side they expect it on and then the other team ends up winning?

My friend, again "Vegas" seems to be the mainstream word here. 15-20 years ago yes. The line originated here. Before that, there used to be the "Stardust Line". Guys would line up Saturday night towards the end of the college football day and wait with money in their hand because the Stardust was the first place in town to release early lines.
There was no internet. There were no smartphones. There'd be a few guys with those huge brick phones walking around. Now these lines originate offshore. CRIS and Pinnacle are at the top. They Set The Market For All Sportsbooks.
You guys keep talking about traps and RLM. Do you really think they're trying to set someone up on an isolated game at 5:00 PST on a Thursday night? Absolutely not. They have an unlimited bankroll to take our money. There are no sucker bets or it looks too easy. These are computer generated numbers. Sometimes they are off and some really smart guys can take advantage of it but that means nothing.

What you guys don't realize is. Every time you play the spread, you are playing a 50/50 proposition. The lines are set because Vegas wants 50% of bets on both sides. Actually, if you read and UNDERSTAND what I just said. Your gambling bank account will rise. Think about it. Yes my friends, you have just figured out the world of gambling. You won't go 45-0, but you will win more often now since you understand.
