They suspended him for the first half of the game but how will he play if he can't leave the state? The game is in Dayton.

Losing Goins for the first half is really not anything that the Dukes are all that worried about.
Starting five games ago JMU has turned their season around by going to a smaller quicker lineup and pressing more on D. During those five games Goins has only averaged 20 minutes and 7.8 ppg.
JMU has been able to do that due to the lack of size in this season's CAA. Well LIU is even smaller than most CAA teams and likes to run a high tempo guard driven offense. The Dukes planned on pressing the Blackbirds anyhow in an attempt to slow them down and JMU needs more ball handlers as they will attempt to slow things down as much as possible on offense.
My niece attends JMU and was at the party where Goins got in trouble and said that the JMU police gave him every opportunity to just walk away but he insisted on being confrontational. He is very lucky that he will be able to play at all in Dayton.
With all of that being said, Iwas and am still leaning LIU. The fact that Goins is not going to play in the first half has NOTHING to do with my decision and in fact will probably cost me a point or two. My only worry is that Goins might come out in the second half like a bull out of the chute and go crazy on LIU.

That info was incorrect, he is in Ohio right now with the rest of his team.

"We're conditioned to playing without Ray," Brady said early Monday afternoon, while the player's status was still uncertain. "I think if you've paid attention to our team, we've played a lot of minutes without him.
I will not be following my LIU lean as I am hearing nothing but optimism out of Harrisonburg. Not to mention I really have a dislike for LIU after watching their carnival like NEC home championship game. This game is a no play for me at this point. I would rather sit it out and root for my home state Dukes.
