I love Memphis being I&#39;m from there and the Tigers are my team. I am having trouble seeing it though. Our bigs get in foul trouble so easy and we make a lot of bad turnovers. Appling on Jackson and Dawson on A Thomas. Our guys have not seen athletic defenders like that all season. DJ Stephens is 6&#39;5 220ish. Payne is 6&#39;11 245 and Nix should foul Black and Shaq Goodwin out of the game.  If we&#39;re gonna do it we have to hit a major amount of threes and turn State over at a high rate. But I do think since we won our first tourney game in the Pastner era we will come out loose and firing it up from all over    I said before the tourney the 1 team I didn&#39;t want to face was Michigan St and here we are.   BOL to youwith your bet and I hope that I am surprised tomorrow     Crawford has to get 20  pts and our bigs have to play the games of their lives   We start a true freshman at center. Payne and Nix should eat him up   But F it it&#39;s madness. Go Tigers!

I&#x27;m liking Memphis as well.  Small play for me, but my reasoning is pretty simple.  The one common thread in all of MSU&#x27;s losses is Appling; when he struggles, they lose.  Memphis was just able to totally shut down Dellavedova the other day, and he&#x27;s a much more composed PG than Appling is.  Aside from that, this Tigers team at least somewhat resembles the Louisville team from last year that bounced Sparty from the dance (Appling was 1-6 w/ 4 turnovers in that game).

Memphis couldn&#x27;t beat an injured under man xaver  team .  they can&#x27;t win out of the USA conference They are not the same  Quality  of the past  teams of   the Calipari  era , no future NBA players , on the team .  lucky to beat St Mary after big lead ..... Michigan ST will handle them easier than  they did Valpo .

i decided to go with the over, small, and memphis +7, buying a half, also a small bet. pastner has to know that there's no way memphis is winning a Big Ten-style slugfest. Even if they struggle to get easy buckets, they'll at least try to run, and that could open things up for Sparty to do the same. after seein Wisco fail to dictate the pace yesterday, i think Izzo will be cautious not to suffer the same fate. he knows that playing a slow, defense-first game could backfire on him against a team as athletic as the Tigers, so hopefully he encourages a slightly faster pace than they normally play in-league.

and just for sh*ts &amp; giggles, i took the Under on keith appling points &#x2B; assists at 17.5.  probably clashes a bit with my over bet, but i think he could get frustrated today, and the fact that he&#x27;s a bit banged up can only help.
