We tend to overreact to the last images we see when we gamble.
This past Saturday, we saw Michigan under perform, trailing Loyola by 10 late in the second half before Loyola got tired.
Michigan outplayed Loyola late and pulled away with a couple of minutes late in the game for a nice comeback win.
Villanova, came out on fire against Kansas and rode the hot streak until the final buzzer.
Villanova get a lot of press for their offensive efficiency and often gets overlooked for playing great man to man help defense.
I expect Michigan to play better offensively, Wagner should create issues for Villanova as well.
The thing is this, I am a Villanova junkie and have watched them a lot.
I have a good understanding of how they play and what they are capable of.
When the line first came out, my initial reaction based on Saturday night was Michigan plus the points were the correct side.
As the day has gone on today, i'm listening to people who are always on the wrong sides of these games, explain to me how Michigan is the right side.
I now have a feeling that Villanova is in fact the correct side.
Villanova is one of the best free throw shooting teams out there and they are a team that doesn't rely on one or two guys to carry them.
This team has 6 guys who can get hot at a moments notice and can carry the team for prolonged stretches.
While Michigan has one heck of a team and a lot of talent, including Wagner who could present issues for Villanova, I am going to side with Villanova here in a game that is close until midway thru the second half.
Villanova pulls away in the second half and wins by 12 or so.
