They need the money remember.
Students don't get paid but they need the ad revenue to survive
Last year the NCAA pulled in $933 million in revenue from media rights fees, ticket sales, corporate sponsorships, and a proliferation of television ads anchored around the three-week-long tournament.

They already said no admission. Right there is a ton of money they already aren’t getting. I’m expecting it cancelled tomorrow unfortunately

If im a student athlete i must be thinking if Rudy Gobert has it how can some of these other college players not have it? kids and coaches might not even want to play anymore because of the potential of catching the virus .. Tournament decent possibility will be canceled

Here is the problem with this for the NCAA and all schools involved.
They all have insurance in case the games get cancelled, now there are bunch of policies put together from different insurance companies. What the NCAA is most likely doing is finding if they are covered because the insurance companies have alot to lose and won't just pay out for any reason.
Fun fact: cancellation due terrorism is more likely than pandemic/sickness (in the eyes of an insurer, correct me if I am wrong) and I doubt a majority of the policies will cover this. NCAA will have suck up a potential 1 billion lost.
