It's been a long time since pacific was good.. growing up in the area.. they use to compete for conference champions when I was a kid.. in comes Dave Smart.. a coach that racked up a 591-48 record and 10 U sports coaches of the year in 18 years at Carleton University.. U sports is essentially Ncaa in Canada.. he is considered the greatest Canadian basketball coach in the country's history .. he found his way to assistant coach at Texas tech last year and took over the pacific job bringing in several high level Canadian transfers .. they have took their lumps and still played competitive.. pushing coach Cal and Arkansas.. having colorado on the ropes in boulder earlier this month .. this seems like a spot where they get back home after a long road trip and take it to a lesser competitor than what they have been facing..
