Are the oddsmakers still this oblivious to Sparty's downward spiral ?
I just don't get it. Is it because Brooks (PSU) is doubtful? It must be because it's been apparent for weeks now that there is no saving this season for Sparty. Yet we're afforded (+ 6.5) points tonight?? Clearly this is a "perception" number. And by perception I mean they must think there are still enough people out there that believe (b/c of Izzo's reputation) that he can somehow right this sinking ship. Power rankings (tangible data only) would suggest that Sparty should be no more than a 4 point favorite here. So why this number ???
Brooks or no Brooks, all I know is MSU is 0 for its last 9 ATS in conference play and have dropped 5 of 6 straight up. And this year, unlike years past, there aren't any cream puffs in the Big 10. I think the last couple weeks have proven this out with the likes of Northwestern, Iowa, and Indiana. In fact, if there currently is a "cream puff" in the conference it might be the team playing tonight at the Breslin Center .......and I'm not talking about the away team.
Thoughts / Opinions ???
