I'm taking Pepperdine at ~12, which is a steal, imo, at home over South Alabama.
Pepperdine has a sterling 6~0 ATS record; South Alabama also has a good ATS record, going 3~1 overall.
Pepperdine's
offense is middle of the road in offensive efficiency; South Alabama's
offense is near the bottom in offensive efficiency (KenPom). Pepperdine's 3pt % is amongst the best (#47), so they can put up points, especially at a comfortable place like a home game.
Pepperdine has a strong defense, ranking high in the KenPom ratings; South Alabama's D ranks near the bottom in most categories.
Pepperdine
has lost SU to high~ranking teams at home (Iowa, #29; Arizona St, #68
... Pepperdine is ranked #115), but covered ATS in both games, so
Pepperdine is clearly a tenacious team.
Pepperdine could do
better with offensive rebounding, but part of that is because they make
high percentages of their shots, so their players have a habit of
turning away from the offensive boards, rather than to move towards the
boards, but that can be forgiven, given their pretty good D.
While
South Alabama has a slight effective height advantage edge (#203) over
Pepperdine (#303), the mismatch between Pepperdine's good offense and
South Alabama's weak defense; the home game at Pepperdine and their
sterling ATS record, is enough to convince me to take Pepperdine now at
~12, a number that's likely to go up once the rest of the US wakes up
tomorrow to bid that spread up.

Nice write up however it wasnt worth 2cents, they did not cover, you can keep your Kenpom bs. Old School cappers look for reasons to take the points, 12 is alot to give. Better Luck.
