Probably a dumb question ...

Is there any world where New Mexico goes dancing? They went 17-3 to win the Mountain West, 26-7 overall, but lost by 3 to Boise in the tourney semifinal last night. They beat all the top teams at least once in the conference and also had wins over UCLA and VCU and USC. They did lose to New Mexico St in OT for their only home loss, and at San Jose St. by 1. Maybe I'm just trying to be ridiculously hopeful since I do have a futures play on them to make it to the Final Four. Should I just pour myself another JD and accept that they're going to the NIT lol.

My guess would be no. Loser of the final may get in if 2 from Mt West make it....I'd drink up. Haha

Lunardi has five Mountain West teams in. Most bracketologists still have them in. Their 42 NET is higher than Memphis' for instance.

why did you mention usc like theyre somebody, they arnt going dancing themselves. Im guessing youre hoping they can win a game or 2 in the tourney so you can hedge, no way they make the final four

 At the time they had lost just 1 conference game and I had just watched them beat Utah State. It seemed logical ... in the moment.
