No offense to any of you or to excellent 3 pt shooter Patty Mills but that is not how anyone in Ireland spells it and if you're ever actually here for the holiday please call it Paddy's Day or the locals will not accept you. Well they will still be nice but they'll laugh at you behind your back.
Some other tips:
The sidewalk = the footpath
Trash = rubbish
C*nt = a term of endearment not a curse word and used equally for men and women ('Let's go for a pint, ya cnut.') Or when not used in reference to a person is just used to describe something annoying or frustrating. ('Pull the door hard, it's a cnut to get open.' or, when pulling the door, 'Come on, ya cnut)
