Ok, quick question for anyone on here that may have went through this and what the proper thing for me to do would be. I have been using a somewhat 'local' book now for over two years. They have an online site that I can access to place my bets and I had an account rep that I originally signed up with.
My account basically has a line of credit and a settle amount that I agreed to at the beginning of my time with them. Each we we settle on Monday morning.
My account rep is apparently no longer with them because he used to check in each week with me via text but no longer responds and I was given notice that any payment needed to be made to a different name a couple months back. Anyway, I am unfortunately over my window this week and am supposed to pay out, however when I logged in this morning, a message popped up saying
' ****** is taking a break until August 6th. Plus balances will be paid out.'
My friend also has an account with them and has the same message. My balance is locked up, so no more bets can be made and the few prop bets I had made are locked in as a negative on my available amount. Obviously August 6th is the first week of preseason football, but I am a huge fan of betting college basketball and MLB games. They are not answering texts to the number I have used in the past.
So my question is: Should I pay the amount or say fuck them? Its not a huge amount, but the fact that they just shut down out of the thin air both pisses me off and worries me a bit that they are in trouble. Has anyone ever had this happen and what should I do? The strange thing is that the message says nothing about clearing up the paid balance. Just that they would be paying off the plus amounts.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
