I am not a conspiracy theorist, but over the past 10 years there have been some 3-7 seeds that have been placed against the one match-up that should knock them off and cause havoc.
This year we have Bucknell and Butler. Muscala will not only neutralize Andrew Smith, but if he gets him in foul trouble the bulldogs don't have much size after that. Iowa State and Notre Dame. Notre Dame dares teams to beat them with the 3 and Iowa State jacks them up like there is no tomorrow. Belmont an Arizona. Arizona has struggled with turning the ball over and defending the 3. Belmont excels at turning teams over and their guards hit 3's at a high rate. Even Florida Gulf Coast is a tough match up for Georgetown as they love to get up and down while Georgetown tries to slow the game down.
I am sure there are more of these story lines, it's just a few I could think of off the top of my head. Don't get me wrong, it makes for an exciting March, but I've always wondered what others thoughts were on this.
