Well guys lucky for me the NIT is winding down as I haven't done very well in it, I was happy to hit the upgraded Iowa play easily though. Anyways on to the Sweet 16 as I look to build upon my solid NCAA tourney record.
Conference Tourney Record: 26-38-1
Upgraded Plays: 9-6
NIT Tourney: 4-7
NCAA Tourney: 23-14-2
The Picks...
Syracuse +6 (Hook)
The Hoosiers were my pick to win it all coming into the Big Ten Tourney but I can no longer ignore the fact that this team is not playing as well as they were earlier in the season. I think Syracuse will stretch out the Indiana zone and make it very difficult to guard them, that being said I feel this game will be extremely tight so I will take the Orange to stay within six.
Marquette +6 (Hook)
This was a tough one to cap, I just don't see a definitive advantage for either team and I like the scrappiness of Buzz Williams team. I think this game will be low scoring and tight as I look for the Golden Eagles to stay within the six and possibly spring the upset.
Ohio St. -3 (Hook)
I think the teacher takes it to the student in this one, I look for Thad Matta's team lead by Craft and Thomas to take it to a Wildcats team who is yet to even be tested in this tournament.
