I've heard it all, K's been terrible the last month, his defense stinks, they lost his final game at home vs his arch rival,...etc
This all fuel for a real winner and he is the ultimate competitor.
I'm a UNC fan since a child. Coach K and Dukies caused many sleepless nights for me as youth.
Then I started gambling and realized that his teams are the most fundamental compared to anyone.
They don't beat themselves and rarely do you see them making boneheaded plays. That's because coach K has his
teams prepared and that comes from his West Point background. In the 90's, when he coached the crybaby NBA players
to Gold, I knew he was the best. They had lost the Gold previously, which is why K got the nod for the next Olympics.
Very few coaches can translate from college to pro and vice versa. K's teams may not win every game but they will lay it all on the
line for 40 minutes. That's all ask for when I'm investing my $.
And to hear people saying his defense stinks is the funniest. He is the 1st coach I remember saying as long as his teams play good
defense and rebound, he didn't care how many 3-pointers they shot or how shots they missed. That's the ultimate coaching
strategy as anyone that has a deep understanding of game knows your offense is fueled by your defense. That's why most
people don't understand why Houston is so good without a single *5 star player. Their offense is fueled by their defense.
I have Duke in my Final Four and truly regret I didn't take them to win it all.
