CBB Updated Record 45-23-1 (66.2%)
Disappointing 1 – 1 last night.
#1. Nebraska -2.5 over Iowa
If you haven’t noticed, even for ranked teams winning on the road in Conference play can be extremely difficult. From yesterday, just ask Villanova, Miami, Va. Tech or Virginia.
Nebraska (8-6) has an RPI of 49, but what’s even more impressive is their Strength of Schedule. Their SOS is #4 in the country.
In Nebraska’s past 2 games:
-they won at #29 RPI (13-2) Maryland
-they won at #25 ranked Indiana
Thus far this year, Nebraska has also played #4 UCLA, #20 RPI Clemson, #21 ranked Va. Tech, #10 Creighton and #3 Kansas……this is an unbelievably tough schedule.
If Iowa (9-6) would have played this same schedule their record would most likely be (5-10).
With two impressive road wins to start out conference play 2-0, I can’t see Nebraska letting this opportunity at home to start 3-0 slip away.
-Iowa is 2-8 ATS in their last 10 Conference Games
-Iowa is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games
-Nebraska is 12-3-1 in their last 16 games on Thursdays
-Nebraska is 13-5 ATS in their last 18 home games as a favorite of 0.5 – 6.5 points
-Nebraska is 11-5 ATS in their last 16 games vs. a team with losing road record.
I am taking the Cornhuskers -2.5 to keep on shucking.
BOL!!!
