1st Game------- Wich St -2 1/2 vs Wash St
I think if Wich St can continue the way they have been playing ,they will cover the spread here. They are shooting over 46% from the field in their NIT games and 81 % from the line during the NIT run. The team has won 27 games which ties a school recored,and think that will be some added motivation tonight also to set that record. They dont have any stand out scorers like Thompson of Wash St,but they are deep,their bench has outscored opp benches 76-28 in the NIT,and I think they can shut down Wash St tonight. Wash St does like to to play alot of zone Def as well as some man to man,but Wich figured out Vir Tech's zone and was able to beat them. I think it will be close but look for Wich to cover the 2 1/2
Game 2 Ala -2 1/2 vs Col
Col can score,but they havent played alot of teams with the defense like Bama. Bama is not very good away from home,but then neither is Col. Ala was 12-4 in the SEC this yr,Col was 8-8 in the Big 12. I just think Bama has played a tougher schedule. A couple common opp. this year which may or may not mean anything:
Ala beat Geo by 6 & 8 while Col lost to Geo by 9
Col beat Okie St by 4 while Bama lost by 8 to them
Ala beat N. Mex by 7 while Col lost by 13 to them
I think Bama's def will shut down the scoring in this game and they will pull out a 4-7 pt win here
