3-3 Sunday. Took yesterday off and played 36 holes. Gotta take advantage of the nice weather days in STL whenever we get 'em.
Marquette +2.5
I can't seem to be on the right side of a Golden Eagles game, but I like Shaka as a dog, and coming off a home loss. No one turns the ball over less than Marquette, and the Johnnies thrive on takeaways for layups, cause in the halfcourt, they don't shoot the ball well enough to stay in games otherwise.
Davidson +9
Dayton is in a tough spot. Big W at SLU on Saturday, and they host league leader VCU on Friday. Davidson is coming off a tough loss at home to Mason, but get to turn around quickly to get a shot at a top team. A look ahead spot, and a 3pt shooting team with nothing to lose. That works for me.
Saint Louis -1.5
This line opened with UMASS favored by 1, and sometime this morning it flipped. SLU is the better team, and I don't really think its close, so not sure why such a short line. But Avila played maybe the worst game of his entire career against Dayton, so I look for him to bounce back and the Billikens roll.
Buffalo/Toledo Over 164.5
This will be a fun watch. Up and down all night. No defense to be found anywhere. Buffalos offense kinda stinks, but Toledo doesn't guard anyone. They just gave up 84 to Northern Illinois.
Vanderbilt +12
Veteran guards for the 'Dores will be able to handle the noise of the Swamp, and Florida is coming in beat up off the Tennessee blow out. Clayton may not play for the Gators, and we saw what happens to their offense when he isn't a part of the game.
Notre Dame +2.5
I like the Irish to win the game, but I'll take the points. Coming off the embarrassing loss to Miami, they never left the state of Florida, so travel isn't a concern. Florida St had the epic collapse against BC on Saturday and now they've announced that Hamilton isn't coming back after this season, probably due to them being bad, and half his players sueing him for NIL money. They are a disaster right now.
Drake -4.5
The Bulldogs won't easily forget that the Racers came into Des Moines and beat them on their own floor. Ben McCollum has done an unbelievable job as a first year DI head coach, and should be in the talk with Gates at Mizzou and Kelsey at Louisville. This team will be laser focused, and put an hurting on one of the two teams to beat them this year.
Air Force +9.5
100% play against Nevada coming off the HUGE win @ Utah St. AF was in this game the last time they played. If AF was ever gonna steal a win in the conference, this may be that spot.
Northwestern -2.5
The Wildcats are gonna be without Barnhizer for the rest of the year, which is gonna hurt, but the first game without a superstar seems to be a time when a team comes together. I'll be fading them on their upcoming west coast trip, but tonight, the final game of winless homestand, Collins has his guys ready.
