Are people over thinking this, or trying to sound smart... Every preview is going against Michigan - they finished third in the BIG10 and won the tourney!
Michigan two bigs gonna dominate this team. Lotsa fouls coming from a team that likes to reach... sorry... 'steal' against great programs from: OCCID and Laverne!!! Their big is 6'8" and next up is 6'6"... good luck.
Try getting those threes off with longer arms in your way. I can't believe the line.
I'm on Michigan ML 1.70.
Max play, $5,000. Biggest bet I've made in over a year.

I agree w you. This isn’t Cal Irvine. This is a big athletic team that is full of transfers coming together playing hard for each other and their new coach. I don’t see this being one of the 5-12 upsets either.

UC San Diego was +400 @ San Diego St to open the season and lost and around the same @ Utah St when they won. They were +1.5 on a neutral floor vs Toledo granted early on. I just don’t understand the rationale of the line being 2.5 against Michigan. It feels too cute. I normally avoid the shady lines but I’ll die on the Wolverine hill in this one. The upsets that usually seem to happen in round 1 are the ones people don’t pick. The consensus upset picks usually seem to hit at a much lower clip

First thing that came to my mind. Then all I've heard on the shows and YouTube is how "Michigan is in trouble"... They literally just came 3rd in the BIG10 and won the tourney... they should be a three seed! Now they're playing a "Big West" school - that played a cupcake schedule, and got a bunch of turnovers and shot the three decently... against the worst conference on top of the cup cakes.
Overrated analytics and "K-Pom"... Michigan wins this game 8-9 times outta 10.
I'd put $20,000 if I had the play money. Staying smart... till the pizza an drinks come in Thursday
Any insight would be nice too - I actually just got it at 1.73 on FanDuel and may out more... am I missing something?

It's a good point. I guess I'm just more thinking they should be getting 1.3 or 1.4 odds - not 1.7. They could lose the game - I just think they win more then they lose it. San Diego goes 2-8 vs BIG10 competition IMO. I think it's good odds for Michigan. Line makers know best - but this shoulda been bet up to -5, -6, without the media.
