SURPRISED I Haven't seen a thread discussing this game! a lot of story lines, cal vs pitino... prolific offense vs a stingy defense... in state rivals. Last I saw this was swinging between a pk and Louis -1...
What are everyone's thoughts on this game, probably a better game to sit back and enjoy to watch instead of wagering on it.
Do you go with the better Coach, defense andHome court or the more prolific offensive young talent? I hate kentucky but I don't let my fandom skew my capping. Can monk and fox get it done in a hostile environment off of a big win vs UNC? Or is this a let down spot for the young guns?

This may seem ridiculous but after watching that Kentucky - North Carolina game im finding it really hard to make a point of backing Louisville. Scoring at will really, for both sides granted, but still.
I don't know what Reds is talking about in regards to cupcakes, Louisville has beaten who? Purdue?
Kentucky or nothing.

You do realize against UNC; Kentucky shot 54% from the field, 55% from three, got 47 points from Monk, and still almost lost the game?
Long story short, they probably aren't going to do that again against a much better defensive team in Louisville in a true road game.
Also, each team's schedule is comparable. So that's a moot point. Before the UNC game, Kentucky hadn't beaten anyone good. Louisville's only loss was a neutral site game against an undefeated Baylor team.

This has to be a a joke . Louisville doesn't have 1 single player that would start for Kentucky. Thats prety much a fact. Kentucky has several bench players that would start for Louisville. There's not much difference in defence as people may think (considering the amount of extra possessions in Kentucky games). The difference in shooting percentage is laughable. Louisville can't throw it in the ocean. Being from Louisville, I hear the hype all week. Louisville fans calling in saying"hopefully they can just keep it close ". I'm not guranteeing a ky win but there is nothing in the world that could get me to wager on Louisville. Simply due to the talent discrepancies in talent and the fact that Cal owns Pitino. There's a reason Kentucky is +65O on future odds vs +3300 for Louisville. Btw. .. the cupcakes you speak of (UNC) are 4th choice to win the NCAA championship. What I would like to know... why is Louisville the pick? Give me your reason.

So based on your logic, the team with the better "on paper" talent always wins? Think about that for a second. I don't agree with d41reds post. But, he did mention one accurate thing. Kentucky, may be super talented, but they are also super young and super inexperienced. This is their first true road game. They almost blew a lead to UNC despite playing ungodly offensively. Odds are they won't have a similar offensive performance tonight.

I ask for a reason why Louisville is the pick? It's definitely not paper or talent. Talent and what's on paper definitely does not win every time. As far as Ky shooting lights out against UNC, and probably going to bounce. They've been shooting that good all year(they have yet to bounce)Yes I know It's a better Louisville defense, but given the difference in talent, shooting, stats, trends 8-1. I just would really like to know the logic behind backing Louisville. It's as square as they come. I give you that. The only thing that would worry me in backing this ky team is that they are 2-5 in road openers. My original dispute was to the poster basically saying Kentucky is overrated.

Just bet the Under. UL is going to have to slow this game down big time to have any shot. And how do you figure UL has the "better coach" UL would fire Rick for Calipari today. UK would not trade Cal for Rick.

Like the under and uk, gun to my head but also agree that it's gonna be a close, nip & tuck type game with both teams making a run... I do give x's and o's edge to Lville but huge edge to talent and athleticism to UK

Chill brah... this is what the forum is about- open discussion. If people didn't disagree Vegas and sportsbooks wouldn't be in business.... not everyone is going to agree with you, no need to name call. Good luck with your plays- might be better value in live betting if your book offers it... I think it is safe to say no one is going to be leading this game wire to wire, so whoever you like pre game, wait for them to trail by 5-6+ and take them + points... much better value there if u are unsure of the line.

Each teams schedule is comparable, i was referring to the fella who claims kentucky has had a "cupcake" schedule. If you're going to cap this game based off both these teams past schedules you might as not wager.
and those stats against North Carolina is not really what I was referring to either. I watched the entire game, and it seemed like every possession was a bucket. It looked like an open gym practice. Now that being said I fully understand those buckets were also going in on Kentucky. Its obvious there wont be a repeat of over 100.
Lastly, there isnt much value in wagering on Louisville anyways, like I said either take Kentucky or enjoy some quality ball.

Kentucky or not bet for me. I can't see Louisville beating them.
I'm at that point too- even with home court and the better coach I still think betting against Uk is a Losing proposition majority of the time... I say Kentucky or Under or just watch and enjoy... best scenario would be KENTUCKY down 8-10 at half and taking them second half... just my two cents but what do I know
