Am I missing something here on why this O/U is so low? I'm playing this one big. I believe both teams will go to the rim and draw fouls creating points without the clock running. Plus, Virginia could put up 75 by themselves. I'm just a rookie so take it for what it's worth. Love to hear your feedback.

Both teams are exceptionally good at not fouling. VA Tech is #4/353 in opponent's FT rate and UVA is #8/353.
The Hokies' offense is perimeter-based and extremely reliant on catch-and-shoot opportunities created off of pick-and-roll. They're 266th in FT rate offensively and only have one post player (Blackshear). Virginia will always, always, always bring a double-team on any post entry, which makes it difficult for a big guy to get to the FT line against them.
Last year's meeting in CVille (with very similar personnel on both sides) only produced a combined 17 FT attempts despite an added five minutes of overtime.
Good luck if you play it.

Not so sure about the fouling thing.

The key for va tech will be transition scoring. Their guard pressure is great, and they do it clean. If they can steal some fast break buckets then it renders UVA's pack line D useless.
Personally I don't see much scoring in this one. The Hookies should mess with UVA coming across the time line enough to shorten their otherwise long halfcourt sets.
We'll see if the Hookies atrack the baseline with their wings. That's a good way to disturb the pack line.
Best of Luck

I think this one is all UVA... They will hold the ball and get quality possessions... UVA knows very well what they allowed last year and they will get that cleaned up to in my opinion, an overrated VT....
Final in this one...
UVA 65-53

I assure you I was shaking my head on this as I secured the bet. .Just being a rookie and objective I was just thinking what 2 top 10 teams can't score 130 points total?
Same reason I picked Syracuse to beat Duke straight up ladt night and as we speak I have Notre Dame beating UNC. I GUESS IT'S JUST THE EYE TEST I'M GOING WITH ON SOME GAMES.

#1 defense in the nation vs #4 defense in the nation
Virginia had a horse show up there azz in the first half. Shooting over 70% with under five remaining ? NOBODY is that good. Especially a teaM that isn’t even in the top 150 in scoring and against that kinda defense. the money was right on the over I guess. If Virginia can keep up the offense , this team will be scary as hell
