Take a page from soccer...&#xA; &#xA;The winner of the NIT Tournamant gets an automatic bid into next year&#x27;s NCAA Tournement as one of the First Four entry teams.  If the NIT winner receives an automatic bid or at-large bid on their own merits, the NIT runner-up from last year gets the First Four automatic bid.  &#xA; &#xA;This will make the NIt Tourmanent relevent again.

Why would this years players care about the next years team? Next years team might lose every game? Maybe they should do the NIT fast and insert them into the tournament after a round or two..

Probably wouldnt work, you better save your brain power for handicapping tonights games..

This is a no brainer IMO.  The NIT has become completely irrelevent with some of the bigger name schools not giving one shit about it and therefore either declining the invite or just going through the motions and getting beat up by a smaller team.
