Well here we are, on the brink of dancing so everyone and their dog has a theory on who will win. It is pretty wide open this year as I beleive 8-10 have a legitimate shot at taking this thing.
That's why I really like the Value is KSU + 2000
I just laid $500 on them to take the whole Kit and Kabootle.
Here's why:
After the first round thrashing they put on North Texas, their guys will be well rested for a showdonw between either BYU or Florida. It matters not as either team will get spoon fed all night by FSU.
They will then have 3 days off to gather themselves and prepare most likely for Pittsburgh. KSU is 20-5 when getting 2 days rest or more, and will continue their run by beating Pittsburgh.
In the Regional final, they will most likely get Syracuse. This is obviously going to be a tough game, but they defiantely have the talent to hang with them. Their primary motivation will be a rematch against Kansas. I believe they fight their hearts out and win a nail biter. Couple days off and then Kansas. If you think these guys are going to let Kansas beat them 3 times this year, no chance. Then to the big show where I will hedge the fuck out of my play.
First # 1 seed to fall - Kentucky. Could even be in round 2. I would not want to play a hungry texas team eager to redeem themselves.
First # 2 seed to fall - Ohio St. They played well at the end of the year but have been very inconsistent away from their barn this year. I can see either Ok st or Gtech shocking these guys in round 2.
First #3 seed to fall - Baylor. Yup I said it, in a word, over rated. Notre Dame knocks them off in a nail biter in round 2.
