Public University. They're not going to open up their wallet to bring in players when their are thousands to choose from who will be happy with just the full ride.
Changing the landscape in college ball. Alumni don't want to throw big money at because they won't see the player for more than a year.

Hubert Davis is the issue. He doesn’t prepare for games or have any real offense other than having the players play hand-off 25 feet from the basket until there’s 5 seconds left on the shot clock. Then play 1v1 and throw up a garbage shot. We also are notoriously one of the best rebounding teams in the country and this year they forgot to recruit a decent big man. A lot of issues but he is at the core.
