Folks, I am very confident that my Zags will be able to handle UNC tonight. In a game that will have many Zags fans there, I think the Zags can build an early lead on the shooting touch of NWG and take another lead into halftime. Hopefully they can hold it, but I am confident not only will the Zags win, but they will win with ease at the end. Final Score: Zags 88 UNC 79
Tourney Most Outstanding Player: Nigel Williams Goss
Good luck everyone

Thanks guys. I have been watching the Zags ever since I was a teenager. I never went to school there, but I went to one of their conference foes schools, Little Old Covering University of San Diego!
UNC is the best team Gonzaga has faced this year, but that's the reason they are the underdog for the first time this season.
While UNC has a lot of athletic ability, and Justin Jackson has been fabulous, they have not seen a team like Gonzaga who features 3 footers on the floor at any given time.
UNC will def. have revenge on their mind, as many of these kids came so close last season, but at the same time this Gonzaga team is very tough for teams who haven't seen it before. Also Gonzaga looked surprisingly comfortable on that Football-Basketball court, which is hard for most players to adjust too.
IF UNC wins, I think Kennedy Meeks as TMOP is also a good bet, especially at +400 and coming off a 25 point performance.
BUT I still think Zags will win!

I really don't see North Carolina with Roy Williams as their coach losing two years in a row in the championship game ... most of the public is on Gonzaga .. i'm not saying Mark Few is not a good coach ... but comparing the coaches and comparing the big man from Gonzaga to Kennedy Meeks .... I just have to give the edge to North Carolina

tourney is all about guard play. this is going to one heck of a game that's for sure...
I got to say that I was doubting Zags all the way through (and wanted them to prove themselves). With that said, they have definitely passed the litmus test of beating top (east coast) teams, but this will be their toughest test for sure.
Can't wait to watch

A lot of people are going to disagree with me but in my opinion when everybody says the tourney comes down to guard play I have to disagree. For example in my opinion meeks single handedly beat Oregon to even get them to this game. Look at the stats. 25 points, 14 rebounds(8 offensive), 3 steals, a block, 0 turnovers, 11 of 13 shooting and one of the biggest offensive rebounds ever to clinch the game. If you don't include Jackson the rest of the team shot 8 of 42! I know what everybody's gonna say but basketball is a team game. The story going into this game for both teams is rebounding so how can you possibly say this is a guard tourney?

You have to be kidding about Roy the boy....he is terrible. Let's roll the ball out and see what happens is not a strategy. He has v good athletes is only reason he ever wins any games.

I watched both games on Saturday... I agree with you on Roy's coaching ability ... Meeks is a beast ... The free throws at the end of the game for North Carolina really worry me though ... N.C defends the perimeter incredibly well though ...
