Hawaii losses came: @ Boise @ Wisconsin @ Ohio State vs San Diego State I am pretty sure New Mexico would lose all those 4 games as well.
New Mexico wins came: vs MVS @Wyo vs NMS Hawaii would be no worst than 2-1, probably 3-0 in those games.
In reality, New Mexico is not any better than Hawaii. I am really surprised to see so many people backing the Lobos.
My play: Hawaii +5.5
I guess people are all over BG because of the HTH history between these two schools. Yes, BG owned Akron in recent meetings but this Akron team looks better than last few editions. Bowling is good but they played a basketball like game vs Mass last week and I wander what they have left in tank after that game. Both teams had 30+ first downs, Mass. scored 38 points with no run game in that game in under 23 minutes of time of offensive possession. They proved that BG defense is bad, but Akron with a solid ground game can also limit BG possessions. Much closer game than expected.
My play is Akron +10.5
Teaser for fun, Akron +17.5 and Hawaii +12.5
