IDK about you but I think this could be 1 of the best bowls so far. West Virginia goes into the desert 7-5 SU 5-6 ATS. The Mountaineers were a completely different team in Morgantown going 6-1 SU and 4-2 ATS at home. AZ State went 6-6 SU 5-6 ATS covering their last 3 games
ASU IMO never fully got up off the mat after the A&M loss in week 1. Senior qb Mike Bercovici had a nice year completing 60.3% of his passes 3436 yards 26 TD's to 9 INT's as well as nearly 500 rush yards and 6 TD's. He's got a 1,000 yd rusher in Richard who has 1,056 yards 6.4 YPC and 9 TD's. 3 guys have caught 50 passes for ASU and 5 guys have 30 catches
West Virginia has done things differently this year riding their 2 RB's Smallwood and Shell who've combined for 2,124 rushing yards and 13 TD's. QB Skylar Howard has been up and down completing 55% of his passes for 2613 yards 21 TD's to 12 INT's and he like Bercovici has 6 rushing td's
In terms of the head coaches Holgorsen is 26-34-1 ATS in his career where as Graham is 69-58-1 ATS. Graham is also 22-7 SU 14-11 ATS in games played in the state of Arizona since going to ASU
West Virginia's strength which is rushing is the strength of the ASU defense as they have the #19 rush defense allowing 124 rush yards a game. How you attack ASU is through the air as their pass defense is #127 in the FBS as only Indiana was worse
I personally don't believe that Howard can consistently make plays through the air and ASU is versatile enough on offense to beat you in multiple ways. Factor in Todd Graham getting 5 weeks to get ready for WV and I like ASU to come out on top in the Cactus Bowl

Do not know if OU was overrated just played the number one team in the Nation. In general the big 12 is overrated. Thanks for all you do, just think the big twelve wins two this year and it will not be TCU. It will hopefully be a high scoring game and entertaining BOL and happy new year.

this is almost home game for them. I'm not sure if they've played at Chase field before but it's less than 20 minutes from Sun Devil Stadium. ASU's offense become better as the season went on, but their pass defense is terrible. Cal and Oregon games, for example.
I'd lean ASU +2, but really like the total here. Like the ND/OSU game, seems about a TD or 2 too low.

this is almost home game for them. I'm not sure if they've played at Chase field before but it's less than 20 minutes from Sun Devil Stadium. ASU's offense become better as the season went on, but their pass defense is terrible. Cal and Oregon games, for example.

with you ASU +2. many similar sentiments in my thread. interesting how the coaching staff trees intersect and think asu just runs a better version of that classic 3-3-5 WV D. Neither will be caught off guard and think ASU is just the better team w the better scheme.
