2 plays for me today with write-ups....

Question

Well guys on Thursday Night Arizona and UTSA scored 36 pts in the 1H and i was thinking i'm going to get a win and then the 2 teams scored 13 2H points and didn't go over the total. 0-1 day -$110 2-5 on the season -$1,486. There were a lot of games i liked today but the lines just moved away from where i wanted. Teams like Purdue,Army,Stanford. I have 2 plays today and here they are:

1. Akron +14 for $1,100

It has been a long time since i bet on a game involving Penn State. You have to go back to a couple years ago when Houston beat them in Case Keenum's final game. Everyone knows my thoughts on Penn State so let's not go down that road again. Penn State is coming off a win at the buzzer vs UCF in Ireland 26-24 last week. I said it a month ago and i look smarter each day saying Hackenburg is the best qb in the Big 10. I wish Michigan would've got him but then again if they did they'd make Hackenburg throw left handed so

Akron is coming off a shutout win over the great football power that is Howard 41-0. In watching Terry Bowden's weekly tv show the Zips looked good last week and what encouraged me was qb Kyle Pohl. That was the best i'd seen Pohl look over the last 2 years in terms of how crisp he was moving around in the pocket and running. They didn't do a lot in the running game with RB's Jawon Chisholm and Connor Hundley and Bowden has talked about establishing them in this game today

Bowden has also been talking up Penn State this week in media interviews making comments like "I don't know how we'll stop them" and "They are looking forward to playing us after all they're giving us the paycheck" Which i perceive to be a little bit of gamesmanship. If i was making this line it'd be Penn State -10.5 or -11 so i'm getting an extra field goal to work with. Strange situation for Penn State with you just beat UCF in Ireland and you have your 1st Big 10 game next week at Rutgers in a new "Regional Rivalry" and in the middle you have Akron? I believe in Hackenburg but i don't believe in the rest of them. I think Akron keeps this within the 14 points and i wouldn't be shocked if Akron pulled the upset

2. 2 team 6 point teaser Northwestern -0.5 Texas +7.5

Some of you may remember i picked Northwestern to go 12-0 this year. Boy did that pick suck huh? Wow what happened to Northwestern last week? Cal couldn't do diddly poo on defense LY and held the Wildcats to 24 points. Taking on an NIU team with the longest home win streak in the nation at 27. And also has won 15 straight road games. I really like this for a teaser because all i need is for NW to win the game.

As for Texas when the line came out i liked the Longhorns but after the injury to Ash and the suspensions came out the number got out of whack for a side play. In the teaser i take Texas to +7.5 and i think Texas can win the game outright.

pull the upset. Dude come on PSU is 18 - 1 against MAC schools and playing at home. Lets not get crazy. PSU defense is nothing to sneeze at. I give 14 points is a big number Zips have a shot at a late back door maybe cover. Coach Franklin will have the boys ready and will impress in his first home game. Zips still are not the kind of team you back on the road just yet. Not with my money.

Oh yea, QB advantage .. Hackenburg is the real deal and will just continue his big number that he had last week against a good defense much better then the Zips.

Trust me , when I tell u Tiny Terry was a horrid coach at Auburn,but I&#x27;m sure he has learned much over the years and I pull for all the Bowdens.I wouldn&#x27;t put my money on Northwestern ,but hope u WIN Packers.Hope u enjoy Mich-Irish game tonight.Its one of my all time favorite rivalries.Love Tom Hammond on NBC especially when he used to do SEC basketball games with Joe Dean &#x27; string music&#x27;.I think u would be better served just taking Texas SU, but hope u cash it.

I hate to part with my money.  &#xD;&#xA;Akron seems a huge risk, even at &#x2B;14.  Zips might show up, might not.  They came with a plan last year at Michigan...but DF will have his team ready for a home opener.  I really want to take this game...but I would have to be on PSU to cover...

Akron could have very easily gotten blow out lat year at MICH. some early unforced, unexplainable turnovers kept them from falling behind by 3 scores and turning them into a 1 dimensional offense in the 2nd half to a more talented team on the road....This was a classic case of a coach not preparing his team and they were way too over confident.

You can bet Penn ST players have been hearing about the Akron/ MICH game last year all week from their coaching staff and will be ready.......That one game from last year is why this line is not at 17.

Penn ST will come out throwing hay-makers and connecting.

FYI guys my teaser bet was $110. My bad for forgetting to post it. Well i have gotten off to a crap start this year guys. 0-2 day -$1,210 2-7 on the year -$2,696. I lost 6 max bets LY and to this point i'm 0-3 with max bets. If i don't win my max bets i will have a bad year

I didn&#x27;t get that Northwestern play.I used to be a huge Pat Fitzgerald fan, but seems like Northwestern spends more time crying for benefits and wanting more rights than winning football games of late.Pat needs to make some changes in his staff.A little less than a year ago Nwestrn was hosting Game day having undefeated Urban on the ropes to losing a tough game then losing on a fluke hailmary to Nebraska to a nasy losing streak that kept them home from bowling &amp; a continued losing streak.Kinda like u Packers from hoopslast year,but I know u can pick winners because I&#x27;ve seen u do it.There ain&#x27;t nothing fun about losing so I didn&#x27;t mean to mess with you,but didn&#x27;t get any of plays except Texas,but like Jimmy DA Freak says one" is pond scum that harps on a man&#x27;s L s.I&#x27;ve seen u pick Bball and u are one of the best non power conference players.I&#x27;m done just about with the Big 12 because I just get pounded consistently..What do I do take Texas?
