Game 1. Kentucky -8.5 (Now)
South Carolina struggles against ODU are significant. Only 114 passing yards is a big glare for me against ODU. Yards per pass was a slim 5.0. I just don't see where the offense is going to come against Kentucky...
Kentucky rolled up 317 yards in 2 and a half quarters when the game was called with 9 min left to go in the 3rd quarter because of lightening delays. 169 yards passing and 148 passing yards. Very well balanced attack.
Kentucky SEC Opener on a regionally televised game at 2:30 I see a huge Kentucky blow out here.
Thoughts on this.
Game 2.
Kansas -4.5 against Illinois.
Sure Illinois hung 45 points on Eastern Illinois but Eastern Illinois gave them 4 turn overs. Sure Illinois had over 400 yards of offense I just don't know if I am sold on them just yet. They were 4-10 on third down BUT Illinois did stuff the Eastern Illinois run game holding them to just 49 yards total rushing. Kansas Dominated the run game as expected against Lindenwood with over 300 yards on the ground and were 6-10 on 3rd down and 3-3 on 4th down. I think Kansas is a much better team and I think Kansas wins by 10 here.
