I'm sure someone else has started this thread somewhere else in this forum, but I'm too lazy to look for it. so I'm starting another thread here..
Seems this year has seen an inordinate amount of visits from the dreaded 'MOOSE.' Yesterday, it happened to FSU backers (like yours truly) in the final seconds of the Maryland game, when Noles coach Jimbo Fisher decided to keep handing the effin' ball off instead of taking a knee (I can only hope high-ranking FSU boosters who got burned, get in Jimbo's ear at the weekly Coaches breakfast in Tally).
Anyway, I'd like to compile a list of the season's Top 10 Worst Bad Beats. That FSU one was pretty painful, so I'm nominating that one...
Anyone else?

NC St/UNC - most people had NC St -7.5. They gave up a lead, then they gave up a TD. UNC fumbled the snap on the XP, but converted it for 2.
UB/WM over 54.5 - UB had a FG that was clearly good in the first half called not good. WM repeatedly drove the field but turned it over. UB dropped a 2 pt conversion for the over. UB intercepted a pass but ran out of bounds at the 3 instead of scoring with 10 seconds left.
Memphis/Tulane under - Memphis had a pick six with 2 minutes left. Memphis got the ball back with 40 seconds left, but funbled running out the clock, and Tulane returned it for the over
BYU -40 vs Idaho, fumbled punt by BYU, then an inexplicable FG by Idaho on the next play

This pretty much sums it up
That BYU game cost me a $3,100 parlay payout.

The NCSU +7.5 has to be the worst of the year. The fact that UNC broke a tie with 30 seconds left on a 75-yard punt return, and then the BS on the PAT on top of that.

Tennessee -3. blowing a 14 pt lead twice in the 2nd half, giving up the tying touchdown on a 4th and 15, and losing in 4OT by not choosing to kick a FG

i know this is the ncaaf forum but how was that second half over under last night in the niners-bears game. lost because of a safety. I dont think i've ever lost a play by a safety.
It's all probabilities

Ohio was playing Miami of Ohio a few weeks ago. I need overtime in the worst way for the over to hit. Tyler Tettleton drives his team down the field losing by 3. They have 1st and goal on the 7 with 9 seconds to go and NO timeouts.
Frank Solich decides to take one shot in the end zone for a game winning TD. But the IDIOT Tettleton does the one thing you CANNOT DO IN THAT SITUATION! He took a freaking sack after running around for 5 seconds with the ball. He could have EASILY thrown it away because there was no real pressure.
After the game he says he forgot they had no timeouts. SMH!!!
That would have completed my 4 team parlay which paid $3000.
Suffice to say I was vomiting all night.

It's no contest. The NC State loss is probably the worst beat anyone will have in their entire life.
Forget blowing a 10 pt lead with like 5 to go, and having them score the winning TD on a punt return with 10 seconds left. The fact that it was a fumbled snap and they threw a prayer into the endzone was a killer. I didn't even play it and I felt bad.
No other beat could ever beat that one, except this one I read on some Mush site where USC covered a -7 spread in one OT, returning a pick for 2 points when the game was over after he picked it.
