This is a revenge spot for Golphers at home and both teams breaking in new qbs. I think early on this could be a defensive struggle until offenses get cohesion . So maybe 2nd half offensive fireworks , but I still think this game ends between 44-49 points and like Under 51.5

Friday College Football 8-30-2024
3* FAU +13.5 vs MSU
Owls in year 2 with Tom Herman and most of his staff returning + noticeable defensive improvement last year for Owls. Also , Owls 4-8 last year with 4 losses by 7 or less.
Spartans with complete coaching change and just not sure they are equipped to handle this type chalk early on as they averaged just 15.9 ppg last year. I think line inflated due to errant public perception.

5* Clemson +12.5
I expect Clemson to be one of best defenses in country , so fully expect they can keep Georgia offense from too many explosive plays. In Clemson's 4 losses last year they had 94-60 First down edge ! Klubnik.will be improved at QB and Clemson clearly motivated here . I expect a vicious fight between Tiger and Dawg and will grab Clemson +12.5
4* Georgia St +20.5
Obvious potential for massive letdown here for Rambling Wreck and I think Georgia St has enough to keep it close . Georgia St 19-6 ATS L/25 Neutral/Road games , so will grab generous points .
3* North Texas +6.5
Morris team had a lot of penalties and lost a lot of close games last year, correctable areas . They picked up a lot of talent in off season and I think will have solid shot SU here. Lets grab +6.5
3* SHSU +9.5 over Rice
Simply don't get this number. Rice has 9 FBS wins in 2 seasons and 6 of those by 7 or less. You would think Deion Sanders was coaching with the line inflation. Lets grab SHSU +9.5
2* Troy Under 44.5

I realize all the metrics " Gurus" will yack about how bad these defenses were last year , but both teams put in major work in off-season to improve defenses. Two new QBs and I think we will see points , but also enough stauled red zone trips to keep this in 56-62 Range. I like Under 66.5
Monday 9-2-2024 CFB
3* FSU -16.5
Line drop earlier in week was substantial and a reaction to.Noles loss to GT. FSU was -27.5 point chalk last year and leading by 21 late in 3rd almost let BC pull off huge upset . Situationally , Noles need a convincing win here and I expect we will see difference in talent show up with a very motivated home team after last weeks loss and lapse in intensity last year vs BC..Lay the wood

5* Troy +19.5
Far too many points to give a Troy team that is clearly capable of running back and keeping it away from Memphis offense. 5 of Memphis 8 regular season FBS wins were by 9 or less last year. I don't trust their defense at all giving this type chalk against a rebounding Troy team I expect to hang tough all game.
4* Florida Atlantic Under 42.5
Outside of shellacking Army took at LSU last year on road , they have allowed just 15 ppg vs last 5 FBS opponents on road. They will eat a ton of clock here and make it even harder for an already challenged FAU offense to sustain rhythm. Lets take Under 42.5
