Really cannot wait for the start of the season and miss my weekday morning routine of reading through the Covers College Football comments.
Just some initial thoughts and feelings on some of the futures posted thus far.
Conference Futures
Big10 - I cant remember the last time pre season when I though that more than three teams has a shot at winning.
OSU, Oregon, PSU, and Michigan all need to be taken seriously.
OSU plays Michigan ands PSU.
PSU plays Oregon and OSU.
Oregon only plays PSU.
Michigan only plays OSU.
Throwing some early money at Michigan as they seem to have the easiest path to the finals especially with +800 odds.
PSU has the most returning talent, but I still do not trust them to win the big games until proved otherwise.
My early thoughts are that OSU is just too talent rich again. They completely reload at every position.
ACC
Clemson brings back the most production in the nation. Big game at Louisville looks to be the biggest conference game.
Miami brings back very good and complete o-line. If Carson Beck can fully heal, look out. They have a big game with Louisville at home.
Early thoughts are Clemson Vs Miami finals game. (Not the most fun or bold prediction....)
SEC
I do not understand why Texas is the early favorite. They lost their entire o-line, which was perhaps the best in the nation last year.
Alabama returns 4 on the o-line and 7 on defense. Tough games at GA and at LSU.
LSU returns the Heisman front runner in Nussmeier. They get Florida, SC, Bama and A&M all at home.
Early money will be on Bama at +650 and LSU at +950.
Great value on Bama and LSU to win the natty as well, but I believe the 3 or even 4 best teams in the nation are in the BIG10.
