Big Play: Arizona +15
I dont know many people who like this play, but hey, thats me. I tend to like plays no one else does. Thats probably one of the reasons why I win more than I lose in the long run.
Oregon beat one bad and one rebuilding team at home last two weeks, and that is good enough in the eyes of many to lay over 2 touchdowns on the road against Arizona.
Sorry, but I just dont see it that way. I just think they are overrated, much more than they were last season. Everyone they faced this season was able to move the ball on them. Well, maybe Missouri State didnt look great but they stil kept the ball for almost 40 minutes in that game.
Arizona is young but they are talented. They were competitive against Stanford for about 3 quarters and then went down just like everyone else did against Stanford this season. The last three times they hosted Oregon, they covered as home dogs every time. Last season they played them on the road and even led at the half and trailed by only 5 late in the third quarter.
I expect Oregon to have all kinds of problems in their first true road game this season.
Louisiana Monroe +17 (regular play)
Iowa left it all on the field last two weeks. First they played their rivals Iowa State in multiple overtime and then last week they came all the way back from being down 24-3 in the third and 27-10 in the fourth to beat Pittsburgh. With a trip to PSU comming up next week they could be in dangerous spot against this SBC intruder. La Monroe played better than expected against TCU last week.
Rice +21 -115 (regular play)
I cant believe that there is some hype around Baylor football program again. Its been a long long time. Their QB is good, but the rest of that team is stil somewhat suspicious. Rice is vastly improved, well rested, and ready to play. They used to be able to uspet Baylor when this was somewhat of a rivalery in late 1980s and early 1990s. They are probably not ready to do it this season but I expect them to be competitive on the field.
