See a bunch of sites saying "we understand it is going to happen"but
I predict more Miami 7-5 and 8-4 type season.
Curious on Oregon now.... Justin Wilcox? Auburn HC?

Cristobal to Miami seems to be done.......sucker play for Miami. He'll get recruits but will still get drilled by Clemson & Syracuse.
I honestly hope oregon doesn't get Wilcox........that would actually make them tough.

What exactly has Wilcox done at Cal...Surprised he has not been fired yet...Huge mistake of Cal letting Sonny Dykes Go..He has them heading in the right direction.

Miami was pretty much a house afire this year. Talk about timing, how in the world did Rhett Lashlee parlay that into a head job? I'm rooting for him (local boy), but it seems odd.

I think the internet and tons of tv games have made players less likely to stay in Miami and/or florida

Didn't realize Jeff Tedford was original architect of Oregon's unstoppable (for quite a few years) offense... Bellotti OF for 11-2 and 12-1 seasons

I am an Oregon supporter been living in Oregon for my whole 72 years, played ball in the state, and have been watching OSU, and Oregon all the while, going to their practice, etc. but I am like many of you, don't really know what Miami is thinking when they say "returning to greatness again". but what was wrong with Manny? Hell, 7-5 isn't that bad he is just a signee or 2 of going 9-3 which is excellent. trying to return to what you once were is going to take a Hell of a lot better coach than Cristobal, they say he has won the Pac 12 title 2 years in a row, well kinda, don't forget Washington was supposed to play Oregon to find out who would play USC, Washington had some players that came down with Covid, so Oregon was a shoo-in and yes they kicked the Hell out of USC. then went on to play Iowa St in the fiesta bowl and lost big time 34-17. wasn't impressed with that loss at all, Mario was outcoached. Then this year came around almost lost to Fresno st 31-24 then beat Ohio St at Ohio St. BIG WIN FOR Cristobal that is when I feel Miami started to seek out Mario. but after that win, Oregon wasn't taking dominance over teams as they should have. Losing to Stanford in overtime was absolute. rediculous. then when it came down to crunch time, losing 2wice to Utah without an effort did it for me with a 76-17 total score. If Miami thinks they will return to prominence with Mario they can have at it. Hell, he has great players do to his recruiting ability. so where were they on those 2 games with Utah that they lost 78-17? There is a saying that "a great coach needs great players" well the 2 losses with Utah if Oregon has the great players. but the great Coach is nowhere to be found, he was supposedly going to Miami, Really? have fun Miami. Now, who will Oregon get for its next coach? some will say Chip Kelly but Chip no longer runs the "blur" offense, the game has caught up to him, at one time his offense was something, now many are now running it, one is western Kentucky, and a few others run it at times. But I am sure with Mr. Phil knight having DEEP pockets and Oregon having a ton of talent to come up with Oregon will pick a very good coach for many of them to stay.

Flying to LA from Oregon and driving in LA traffic or driving a one hour radius in any direction from Miami and being able to recruit the whole team filled with 4 and 5 star recruits. Mario made the right choice. And the Ducks campus is in the middle of nothing.

Plus getting older man, it's preferable to be near the trees the fresh air. The kids don't care.
Was listening to Ferrell, he made a great point, these Miami kids don't go to Miami to listen to the coach.
Switching teams, that just ain't cool in my book, unless you got good reason.
And they may have good reason...we never know the stuff going on behind the scenes.
Best way for coaches to handle things is to do the Urban Meyer, take a break, then join a new team.
Been around a long time, as they say you can't just assume the grass is greener on the other side.
