Am I reading this Kirby Smart story correctly?

His pops fell a day or two before the game, had sx (surgery), and ultimately died?

I mean explains some, no?

Sad news gets to players....they tend to what to win for their coach or teammate who just lost some family.....

Kirby is a good man and coach, but the players performed the best they could to a superior team this year

Clearly you have never lost anyone close. You probably don’t even have good parents with that comment.

The head coach lost the lost important man in his life. The Georgia game plan was atrocious and that might explain having the head coach’s mind lost in the clouds. 

I lost my mother 15 months ago and I didn’t go to work for a week.

 Actually I have and had to perform my duties the rest of the day that it happened..... and I think you are maybe going a little weird here because, I respect the fact that his father passed away but his father would understand that football is Kirby's life and that game was important to HIM ....that is how father's are.

Concerning the game....all prep was done well in advance and a walk through would have happened 2 days before..... Kirby seemed quite active on the sidelines during the game

There is a way to explain the Irish controlled that game despite having the 'inferior QB' some would say and so if apologists are jumping in for a way to excuse Georgia, its unnecessary. I still believe Carson Beck would have thrown a pick6 vs a sublime secondary who are ball hawks........ and maybe balanced out with 1 extra TD achieved from his arm..... 

The mistake was made in the preseason adorning Georgia with the #1 team mantle in the coaches poll etc..... it infected a lot of people

Old School guys like that do their duty no matter what - as stated if anything players played slightly harder for him.
