However based on Defensive stats, both teams don't allow many points, however both teams haven't played anyone worth talking about. Clemson is also 4-2 ATS against GT. But those are just my inputsand would like to see everyone elses.

Leaning Clemson -9.5 ATM.

Small wager on this game. I'm taking the yellow jackets and the points this Thursday. Paul Johnson and his triple option attack can be dangerous on any given night. Clemson hasn't impressed me this season and I see it being a hard fought battle in the trenches for 60 minutes. A lot of people will be on Clemson but if G.T. can control the flow of the game and T.O.P. then I see them covering the spread. But what do i know, I'm just a rookie

Yeah, Clemson will really concentrate on GT knowing they got Louisville next.
Why would they really concentrate on G Tech knowing they have Louisville coming up? It seems like they might be looking ahead to Louisville if anything and just try to get by G Tech.

Thanks for the insight, think I'll sit this one out. I still feel like Clemson could cover but all your points are extremely insightful. Thanks everyone.

I will say this.. Defense vs. the triple option is about scheme and discipline. Clemson gets better on D vs GT every year. Two years ago GT won when Deshaun Watson was hurt early in the first quarter. GT scored 28 total, but two of those TDs were pick 6 from Clemson backup qb. And that was the year Georgia Tech went 11-3, beat #9 UGA, lost to #4 FSU by 2 in the ACC champ game. My point is.. Georgia Tech should not score many this week. The question for me is which Clemson offense shows up. So many dropped passes the first few weeks.

I wouldn't touch the game with a 10 foot pole, Clemson hasn't won in Atlanta since 2003. They are capable of blowing the doors off Tech but to me it's really nothing more than a coin flip. The last 4 years though Clemson is 3-1 in the matchup winning by huge margins at home...for some reason Tech had to play at Clemson 2 years in a row due to a scheduling issue the ACC had. Clemson had blown them out in fantastic fashion in the 3 wins...in the loss they were about to go up 14-0 in the 1st quarter and Watson tore his ACL.
Venables has really figured out the option, see below as tackles for loss has equated to wins:
2008: 6 for 22 yards (L)
2009: 3 for 8 yards (L)
2009: (ACC champ.): 4 for 12 yards (L)
2010: 7 for 21 yards (W)
2011: 3 for 5 yards (L)
2012: 5 for 9 yards (W)
2013: 11 for 34 yards (W)
2014: 9 for 37 yards (L)
2015: 11 for 50 yards (W)
They anomily being the 2014 game where Watson got hurt. The betting trends say the Thursday home dog is the play, but Clemson could absolutely shred this team as well....hence don't touch it.
