Any of you see South Carolina making the playoff??

I have a large postion of "NO".   I don't see how they can pass Alabama or Ole Miss, since SC lost to both of them? 

 But  I see one site now saying they have a 50 percent chance of making it after beating Clemson. Any thoughts??  

BIG time possible. 

If they don’t make it it would be ashamed just look at their losses. They competed in those losses against ranked teams. 

Definitely possible. They are rolling and other teams are slipping....

I thought the main criteria by the committee is head to head if a tie exists...............

I'll say this-  you better be a BIG SMU fan next week.....because that 50% is pretty much all on the clemson/smu game.  If clemson wins, you are likely 

in deep crap on that play.

So they are going to take SC over Alabama?  Even though Alabama beat them? The committee also understands the name of the school, and TV ratings. See last year with FSU vs Alabama....

Doubt it. Way too many SEC and Big Ten teams. If we are counting teams with 3 losses or less that brings in:

Bama/Georgia/Ole Miss/Tex/South Carolina/Mizzou/Tenn

Oregon/Ohio State/Penn St/Indiana

There alone you have 11

I know this isn't your list but once they set the 12 team playoff, there is NO chance Boise has a bye. The last couple of weeks they have really fallen off. They deserve to be in but not that high

Here is another way of looking at it, we have 9 teams locked into the playoffs right now. 

Oregon, OSU,Texas, Penn State, Georgia, Tenn, ND,   Boise State or other G5 winner, and Indiana.

10, 11  will be      ACC winner    and   Big 12     winner

12?????    So many to choose from Bama,  SMU  (if clemson beats smu) , South Carolina, Ole Miss, Miami 10-2,  and loser of the Big 12 championship,,  or other 2 loss Big 12 teams.....

If Boise State is the highest ranked conference championship team (after the other three), they (or any other conference championship team) will be seeded fourth and get a bye.  Seeding and ranking are two different things.  

Only 1 ACC and 1 Big12 team are making it. The losers of their conf championships are out.

Ok, so then we have one spot for:

Alabama, South Carolina, Ole Miss, Mizz  -3 loss teams

2 loss teams won't be considered?  Miami (finished), SMU if they lose?

Anythings possible you know, but I SAY  NO!

Mizzou and ole miss are out....Bama and SC deserve it over them

We all know Alabama will sneak in. Zero chance they are left out 

That is exactly why I made the bet    $$$$$$$$    They are not taking SC over Bama........just like last year....Bama is ratings.

I definitely think they’re playing their best football at the right time be and beating really good teams while doing it. 

The other issue i possibly see is, what if Georgia loses the SEC title game and has 3 losses?  Will they be knocked out?

I say no, because then it would set a precedence for teams not to make title game, so they dont get an extra loss.........must give priority to conference title game participants.

I also think SMU may still make it , even if they lose to Clemson.........several sites have them in no matter what happens, assuming they dont get rolled by Clemson....they will move up this week in rankings.....
