If only every week of college football were like last week, I'd be tearing my hair out about Tennessee but at least raking in the dough. As it is, all I did was got back everything I lost in week eight. Leans that I posted before the lines came out were 8-2. I dropped two winners, but plays were still 11-4.
Last week:
sides: 10-4 (+7.2 units)
totals: 1-0 (+1.0 units)
two unit plays: 1-0 (+2.0 units)
overall: 11-4 (+8.2 units)
YTD:
sides: 69-68-2 (-9.6 units)
totals: 8-3-1 (+4.4 units)
two unit plays: 7-9
player props: 0-1 (-1.3 units)
ML parlays: 0-3 (-3.0 units)
overall: 75-75-3 (-9.4 units)
Let's be honest, I was seeing things well last week. But I think staying disciplined and keeping those 4-6 iffy plays off the card helped. This week, I'm not seeing things nearly as clearly, but I do have a couple thoughts, mostly in the Pac-12 for some reason:
*Is it time to buy Baylor after a couple shellackings? Mizzou is coming off an OT road win, and this won't be an easy out.
*These two scare me, but everything points to them: Oregon State and Colorado. Both at home. Both against opponents who are in prime letdown territory. Oregon State against an opponent in prime sandwich territory. But they're just so bad.
*I think Cal is becoming a simple "play at home, fade away" team. Not "becoming" so much because they were all of last year, but bad loss to Southern Cal aside, it fits the narrative.
*I think Washington is better than most people think, so I'm not too down on Arizona. I think they may've found themselves two weeks ago, and they should beat Utah at home.
*It's time for Navy to get back to basics, and a struggling Troy is the perfect opponent.
*Temple should bounce back in Athens. I have one unit on Ohio at +1000 to win the MAC, so that pushes me in this direction as a hedge if nothing else.
*I expect to see a biggish line in ULL/ULM, and that one is always close. Take the dog.
