Army -3 over North Texas ****
This line has changed a few times due to the availability of Army qb's Bryson Dailey He didn't play in last week Army=Air force game . Army subbed Coleman as it's QB and although he did good as a substitute and had a 3 or 4 scoring drives he is not Bryson Daily. North Texas coach when he was at SMU recruited Bryson as a line backer But he wanted to be a QB and turned them down Many schools recruited him as a line backer. He chose West Point because they told him he could play QB. Dailey is an option QB with fullback mentality . He has some halfback moves and is elusive but he likes to run over people like a full back Monken the Army coach has listed him as questionable or probable on Saturday. So no one really knows if he plays Bryson is on many Heisman candidates lists and Army has Notre Dame next week But Army is not looking ahead of North Texas Army has played a 'cupcake " schedule 8-0 beating ECU, Lehigh,Rice, Temple ,FAU, Temple Air Force..In fact North Texas will be the only team they have faced with a winning record. They are having one of the most successful season ever even though Navy and Notre Dame are games still down the road. No one knows the Bryson status for this Saturday. Monken kept quiet last week that Bryson would not play vs Air Force . Many at North Texas are saying he is playing and its an Army " smoke screen " .. His injury has been reported as a " soft tissue : injury. Undisclosed is the official word Monken yesterday said he is playing and North Texas has to prepare for him . NT has to put 8 men in the box on defense. But this kid can throw accurately and doesn't turn the ball over. But NT has athletic Db's and can slow down the rushing of Dailey I am guessing he is playing and North Texas Defense is in big trouble trying to stop him running the ball or passing it. Army is not looking ahead to Notre Dame or Navy because they will get a nice Bowl invite from somebody. Army knows playing a North Texas team away is very dangerous and although the game is in Denton think Army will get a few helicopters and some Army fans from nearby Army bases to even the crowd somewhat. Bryson takes about 20-25 hits a game as an option QB but I have never seen an option QB take on Linemen LB's or CB's ,lower he head on contact and makes the tackler fall back . If Bryson plays Army wins and covers ****
If Bryson doesn't play will still grab the -4 pts because North Texas Defense is not used to playing a wishbone option offense.

 I didn’t think he was very effective. Against a worthless AF team he struggled moving the ball. No passing attack at all, just a runner.

My local had line at 6, I bought 2 hooks to +7 and took NT who will put up points. I think Army loses their first game this week as they struggle to score with UNT.

Just have a feeling Daily will play. How the final score turns out - who knows.

Fwiw, lean (4/10) towards Army winning and covering right now.  Game time decisions stink from a wagering perspective.  

Mart... Coleman was Bryson replacement at QB vs AF and he did score 3 Td's but he cannot throw like Bryson  Line has moved up and down and no one really knows if Bryson will play  I'm still taking Army because North Texas Defense is going to have problems trying to stop the option And Robinson is almost 100% back and on the option if you don't assign some one on him he is a speedster once he turns the corner and could fly  He is also there punt and kickoff returner . Think Dailey will play and if that Happens Army wins by 2 td's or more

boom think the over is a good play ...NT defense is not very good But if Army gets a 1-2 touchdown lead they will play the clock and that's hurts the " overs"  But think Army and Monken want to show the College Playoff committee they belong in the 12 team tournament  A big win over  North Texas helps there resume since Armys schedule has been so weak with almost everyone they played has had a losing season. Again not sure of Daily's status this morning  He is listed to start but with ND next week Monken might substitute for him early since he gets hit so many times He is a Linebacker in body playing QB for an option team . Nobody from the service academies ever get put on a Heisman watch but this kid is deserving of the watch. He won't win it unless he has a huge game today and vs Notre Dame the following week . But think the Army coach Monken might leave him in to get a few more stats for his final resume.   I have mixed feeling for this game. In a way I want North Texas to win but living in Army's backyard and working at Army's basketball camp for years. But again it comes down to " can North Texas slow down Armys option. " And when the NT defense has to do everything different this week in practice its gives Army a huge advantage  And Monken can see how the NT defense is trying to stop the option and then he adjusts with his new strategy . I ran a " box and one" coaching in HS. I could see how teams would play defense and then I could make my adjustments . Somehow I see the same thing when teams have to go against certain offenses or defenses they don't always see.

Army 7-3  at  half Bryson is playing  Not sure why Monken just didn't go for FG with 1 second on the clock instead of a fake run.  Take the FG and 3 points . North Texas Defense is playing tough and giving Army a game . Wearing my North Texas shirt and Army hat. But my money is on the Black Nites. 

UNDER LIVE wager early on......Ug-lee game

Bryson scores 2 td's and rushes for 153 yds  in a 14-3 win over North Texas . Army is now 9-0 and has the longest winning streak at 13 games  They play Notre Dame next week and that might be a tough tough game  Not sure of the line but Notre Dame stopped Navy's option last week . Army has played a cup cake schedule and North Texas was their 1st win over a team with a winning record.  Army wants to make the College play offs tournament . Army D has played outstanding in their winning streak and they shut down North Texas offense . Looking forward to see what the Notre Dame line will be. Think Army is also 9-0 ats .
